We are centred around the towns of Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport-on-Severn in North Worcestershire and we are a lively and friendly bunch of people.  We warmly welcome new Members!

U3A is a UK wide, cooperative movement of retired and semi-retired people who come together to continue their educational, social and creative interests in a friendly and informal environment.

Each U3A is a charity in its own right – there are currently more than a 1,000 U3As and each one hosts many interest groups chosen and run by the members, for the members.

U3A members help each other in their learning groups and form strong and meaningful relationships together with a sense of community, social wellbeing, fellowship and belonging.

The U3A model is low-cost, defined by participants, and learner-led. U3A shows the value of communities of interest and learning which are not defined by age, or by past experience, but instead are defined by the experiences still to be explored.

The Third Age Trust is the national representative body for the U3A's in the UK and we abide by their Objects and Principles

The U3A approach to learning is learning for fun, not qualifications. "Learn, Laugh and Live" is its motto!  Wyre Forest and District U3A has 600 members and a wide range of  Interest Groups which reflect the interests of our members.  Our groups are self-led; members organise the meetings, sometimes in a hall, sometimes in a member's home and sometimes out of doors. There are over 50 interest groups and some groups also organise theatre trips, visits, study tours and holidays.  There is something for everyone - or if there isn't, a new group can easily be formed.

General Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 2.00pm in Kidderminster Harriers Social and Supporters Club, Stadium Close, Hoo Road, Kidderminster, DY10 1NB when we have a talk or demonstration on a wide range of interesting topics, information on group activities, a book stall, refreshments and, most importantly, the opportunity to meet and chat with fellow members.

Prospective members are most welcome to come and sample what we have to offer.  They can visit up to three groups or events before deciding to join us.

Membership fees are £12.50 per person per year which includes free admission to the monthly meeting.

Non-members pay £1.50 for the monthly meeting and may attend up to 3 meetings or group activities before deciding to join the U3A.
