People have been telling stories for as long as the human race has existed. Stories have been told and shared in every culture and every land - this oral tradition predates the written word. Stories are learned image by image, rather than word by word; they can be told and retold many times and are often changed and adapted in each telling.
Members of this group have an interest in stories, folklore and legends and may also wish to create their own tales. We learn and practise new skills to help us improve our storytelling techniques.
With the growth of modern technology this ancient art form could so easily be lost to future generations. Our aim is to help keep alive and promote the magic in stories.
Anyone who enjoys listening to a good tale is also welcome to come along - stories only come alive when someone listens!
