Our project in 2021 will be to research the people who have given their names to local streets in your home towns of Kidderminster, Bewdley or Stourport. Members will choose 3 streets/roads and the talk will be for no longer than 10-12 minutes. NO GROUP MEETING WILL BE HELD The report refers to the talks given by members at the February 2020 meeting |

Friday 21st May | A coach trip has been organised to visit the Victorian Gothic Revival Hall at Abbey-Cwm-Hir. It is a privately owned family home, built in 1834. containing 52 rooms which contain their original features. It has been featured on many TV shows. There are 12 acres of gardens and grounds to enjoy, including a Walled garden, terraces, courtyards, lake and waterfall. In May the rhododendra will be at their best. Typical comments; " Every room a treasure" "An inspiration, a real Tardis, A wonderful journey of discovery, Still reeling from this amazing wonderful House"
All money to be collected in by 16th April 2021 £22.50 each. Covers the coach fare, driver's tip, entry and guided tour of the Hall. Please note the visit and coach booking have been confirmed but an actual decision will be made near the time, depending on circumstances |

An up-to-date illustrated presentation by Peter Hardy of the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas. Very relevant for members who have already visited the NMA, to see the regular changes that are being made, and for members who have never visited this inspirational and unique place.
