DESCRIPTION |
Zimbabwean Proverb, if you can walk you can dance, if you can talk you can sing. Singing is good for you. Keeps your brain active, helps your breathing, and gets you in to a group of friends. If a misguided teacher in your past has told you that you can’t sing then this group is for you. We work on the principal that if the note that you are singing feels right then it is right. If it is not the same note as the person next to you then it is probably a harmony. Harmonies are very much encouraged! We work with a lot of simple songs, so that you DON’T need to hold a sheet of paper in front of you. Words are sent by email the day before the fortnightly meeting and you can use your smart device to read the words using the wi-fi at St Ambrose Parish Centre. You don’t need to be able to read music. The aim is to be able to sing your heart out, without the need for your glasses and to move a bit to the music as you sing. We have musicians on keyboard and guitar. |
