The remit of this group is to not only to listen to classical music but to watch as well for many performances are now available on video allowing one to see the works being played and to view the instrumentalists. This helps enormously to appreciate the performance, rather like being in a concert hall. Not only just listening but also to talk about classical music and learn the history of the pieces being played. In addition the group will compare different performances. Classical music covers a vast range from individual solo performances to quite enormous works such as the symphony of a thousand, the no 8 composed by Mahlar and everything in-between. There is much to watch, to listen to and to talk about. A warm welcome awaits all those members interested.
