Scrabble: We usually get two or three games played during the afternoon and although we all try to make good words we do enjoy it as well. Please come and have a go. If you have never played before there are plenty of members who will help you. Nearly every month we seem to find a word which is new to us. Dictionaries are on hand should you need them and a sheet of permissable two and three letter words, very handy sometimes.
Rummikub: Is a game of numbers similar to rummy and maj jong. The object of the game is to be the first one to use up all their tiles from the rack onto the table. Each player starts with 14 tiles and has to put them on the table to make a group of at least 3 tiles either by a colour run or a group of 3 different colours. There are 104 tiles numbered 1-13 in four colours , (twice) black, orange, blue and red, plus 2 jokers.
Do come and have a go. If you would like to come and watch for a while if you have not played before you are most welcome to do so or just have a go you will soon pick it up. If you enjoy playing Scrabble and Rummikub you will have to choose which one you would like to do at the beginning of the session. There is plenty of room for parking at the hall.
