DESCRIPTION |
The last few weeks and months have brought home to all of us (if we needed the reminder) just how matters of economics and high finance can bear down on us all from a great height. Given that, ever felt you wanted to better understand the economy? Here’s your chance. Taking Tim Harford’s current BBC programme Understand the Economy as a spring board, the idea is for a taster series of meetings looking at recession, inflation, banking, government borrowing and spending and all the rest as explored by Harford. Then armed with that insight formed to carry on discussing the new issues that arise in the coming months. It's going to be a highly participative process – it’s your insight, experience and opinion that will drive the events. Plus, occasional guest speakers. |
