Calling all music lovers and particularly those who get enjoyment from Operetta and Opera. A new group called “Enjoying Operetta and Opera” (well what else would you call it) has been started by Ralph Bramley.

The ethos of this group will be to have a wide ranging look at and understanding of this art form together with screenings of Operetta and Opera. Individual pieces are examined and discussed as to what did make them so popular.

How individual Operas came into being and the history behind them. Looking at some of the stars who became world renowned. Unearthing unusual and sometimes forgotten works. Humorous anecdotes of the ups and downs of performances. A history of Opera and the theatres that host Operetta and Opera.

Meetings to be held at Wribbenhall Community Centre, Shaw Hedge Road, Bewdley from 2.00-4.00pm on the first Friday of each month.
