If you’ve come to this part of our website, it’s probably either because you are already one of our group leaders, or because you are thinking of becoming one. If this is the case, the first thing to say is a huge ‘thank you’. Our interest groups are the life blood of our organisation and without them and the wonderful people who give of their time and experience to run them, we simply wouldn’t be here at all!
I always say that everything we do in the u3a should be either fun, or interesting and wherever possible both, and running an interest group is no exception. Of course it is a commitment however and there are responsibilities so this section of our website is intended to help make that as easy as possible for you.
The Committee is there to help. As a group leader you will have a member of the Committee assigned to you as your ‘committee liaison’ person. Please don’t be afraid to contact them if you have a problem, or something which you need for your group, or if you simply want to float an idea; that is what the Committee is there for!
