Walking for Fitness the 3rd Tuesday of every month - start times and locations vary
Spring is now with us and we are looking to come out of hiding and cautiously begin our walking group, though with smaller numbers in the first instance. When restrictions are lifted we will resume using guidelines issued by the Ramblers Association which is what our Third Age Trust have asked us to follow.

What we will do
Some of the group members agree to lead their favourite walks which means we all get a good variety of locations to discover. It must however be stressed that this group is 'walking for fitness' and so it is now established that we do often walk at around 2.5 to 3 miles per hour when on the flat and walks vary between 5 and 9 miles in duration. If you are a regular walker and reasonably fit then you will find the walks quite easy with not too many taxing inclines and rough ground.
It is now accepted that when allowed we end with a lunch in a suitable pub... the reward for your walk!
Dates for your 2021 diary
Location for the start of walks for 2021 are to be finalised but full details and actual mileage will be given prior to each walk and emailed to all who have expressed a wish to join this lively group.

April 20th Six miles easy walk with views starting from Alveley, walking over to the lovely grounds by Coton Hall
May 18th Six miles of field and varied woodland walking beginning at Shatterford
